Martin Custom Shop D-14 Sinker Mahogany Back & Sides Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

The Martin Custom Shop D-14 Sinker Mahogany Dreadnought is an extraordinary, collector-grade acoustic guitar that showcases some of the finest tonewoods ever harvested. At the core of this instrument is rare Sinker Mahogany used for the back and sides—old-growth virgin timber logged in Belize over a century ago and submerged under riverbeds, resulting in a wood density and tonal maturity that simply cannot be replicated by modern timber. Paired with a premium Adirondack Spruce top finished in a warm aging toner, this dreadnought unleashes incredible headroom, dynamic responsiveness, and a punchy, golden-era fundamental tone with rich, woody character.

Crafted for discerning acoustic purists, the select hardwood neck features a classic Modified V profile with a satin finish, providing a authentic, comfortable grip reminiscent of Martin's pre-war era instruments. A solid Black Ebony fingerboard is appointed with Select Abalone Old Style 18 inlays, directing string vibration down to a GE Modern Belly bridge and a genuine bone nut and saddle. Completed with Grover StaTite 18:1 open-gear vintage tuners and housed in a 3-ply hardshell case, the D-14 Sinker Mahogany is a masterpiece of American luthiery engineered to produce explosive volume and timeless acoustic resonance.
